Happy Heart Home Daycare Menu

Sample Menu~ for  Happy Heart Home Daycare

Monday*  
Morning snack- Organic Current Scones (  gluten free all-purpose flour) with Org. butter, yogurt,  or cream cheese topping.

Lunch-  Organic brown rice Pasta with Org. Veggie & tomato sauce  or home made Org. local Beef sauce

Afternoon Snack- Org. Veggies with hummus (  or steamed vegetables)
            - Org. Apples topped with lemon and cinnamon ( or apple sauce)

Tuesday
Morning snack-  Organic Chocolate or Berry Super Green Smoothie with a slice of orange.

Lunch -  Organic Split Pea Soup and Gluten Free Grilled Cheese.

Afternoon Snack-  Ants on a log ( organic celery topped with organic nut butter and organic currents.
- organic Rice Crackers

Wednesday* 
Morning snack-  Organic Berries and organic Corn Cakes.

Lunch-  Fabulous Fajitas with Organic Chicken dressed in organic herbs on an organic gluten free pita.

Afternoon Snack- Organic popcorn topped with organic butter and a choice of nutritional yeast or parmesan cheese.
- Organic fruit ( pears, apples, berries, bananas, watermelon,  (depending on what is fresh)

Thursday* 
Morning snack-   Hot rice cereal with organic berries and local maple syrup.
- Home made granola bars with organic ingredients.

Lunch-  Organic Vegetable Dhal or Vegetarian Chilli
- With  organic Kale Chips or organic Lemon Pita Chips on the side.

Afternoon Snack-  boiled organic egg
- organic rice or multi-grain crackers with organic cheese.

Friday* 
Morning Snack-   Banana Roll Ups (organic Nut Butter and organic Banana on an organic spelt four wrap).

Lunch- organic home made personalized pizza's  with choice of organic home made pesto or organic tomato sauce.

Afternoon Snack-  Super green berry popsicles


*Other favourite lunch dishes include: 

-  Creamy Organic Macaroni and Cheese with steamed vegetables and hemp seeds.

-  Organic cream cheese bagels with dill and cucumbers.

- Organic local beef burgers or Vegetable Bean burgers with organic garden salad and home made organic french fries.

- Organic spinach spanakopita

- organic vegetable sushi

- Organic and local sausage on rice and steamed vegetables.


* Other snacks :

-  Organic Bliss Balls ( tahini, cashew butter, dates, sesame seeds, coconut, chocolate chips)

-carrot, banana, or blueberry muffins 

- hemp, oatmeal, or everything cookies

- organic blue corn chips and local salsa

- organic apples with organic nut or seed butter

- Corn or rice cakes  topped with nut butter, organic butter, and or a choice of raw honey ( for the older children) , local jam, & organic bananas
